A vegetation fire that broke out Monday evening near Valley Springs has surged past 1,400 acres with no containment, prompting mandatory evacuations across four zones east of New Hogan Lake as crews battle rapid uphill fire spread through grass and brush.

The Woodside Fire in Sonoma County has burned more than 50 acres, and the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has issued evacuation orders. According to Cal Fire, the fire is currently 0% contained, and crews are currently working to slow the spread.
