Canton police say a SWAT team executed a search warrant related to drug charges on Monday.

An Irvine condo complex near Terrapin and Cadence turned into a tense crime scene Wednesday afternoon when a man armed with a machete refused to let his relatives leave their home, prompting a full SWAT response and a dramatic ladder rescue, according to police.

A fire broke out at a home where a SWAT standoff is unfolding in Akron, police said. A four-year-old was inside the house but was allowed to leave.
